We left for Paris the day after Christmas, of 2003. Unfortunately there were no fireworks at
the Eiffel Tower to welcome the new year. But that didn't disopoint us at all. In
fact, when it was time for us to leave Paris to go back home, we changed our tickets
so that we could stay in Paris for just one more day. We loved it so much!
April 2004
In April, 2004, i decided I wanted to go to Paris again instead of my love coming to
New York. My sister wanted to go with me, and so we went together. Although I have
already gone to the top of the Eiffel Tower when I first went to Paris, I wanted my
sister to see the wonderful view herself, so I went up with her too. On my first
visit to the Eiffel Tower, I thought it would be fun to take the stairs back down.
Big mistake! It was such a long flight of stairs and it was so cold on top. So, from
learning from my mistake the first time, I told my sister we would not be taking the
stairs.She loved the view.
During my visits to Paris I have seen Le Louvre,
Eiffel Tower of course, and Le Moulin Rouge,
(my boyfriend's apartment is a few streets down from it). I must
honestly say that I didn't really like the Moulin Rouge. I went to Le Sacré Coeur and
loved it, and also Notre-Dame and Versailles. If I was to
list all the places I went I would be typing forever. My favorite places in Paris
are the Opera, and the Galeries Lafayette, one of the greatest stores!
During my visits to Paris and being that my boyfriend is French, I have been trying
to learn French.I was able to pick up a few words and phrases by listening to my
boyfriend and listening to others while I'm in Paris. Hopefully this website will
help me out also.
I am leaving for Paris again in July, and my boyfriend and I plan to take a trip to
South of France for a while. I can't wait to visit France again. I love the land,
the language, and the food! France has a lot of culture and it is one of my favorite
places to visit, and hopefully soon to be one of my favorite places to live.
